PES Hawaiian Liquid Culture Syringe 10ml The PES Hawaiian (PESH) phenotype was first developed by the company Pacifica Exotica Spora in Hawaii. Despite its name, this variety does not occur naturally in the Hawaiian islands, but was instead selectively bred for its robust growth and attractive appearance. Within the mycology community, it is widely referred to by its acronym, PESH. Caps typically measure 3–7 cm in diameter, starting convex and maturing to broadly convex or nearly planar. They are a rich golden-brown in the center, fading to lighter, creamy edges. The cap surface is smooth, often with a slightly darker central spot. Stems are medium to thick, sturdy, and range from 8–15 cm in height, displaying a fibrous white to pale cream coloration. Partial veils are well-developed and often leave a prominent ring on the stem. PESH is a fast colonizer with vigorous mycelial growth, fruiting prolifically under standard cubensis conditions. It often produces dense flushes with consistent cap size, creating visually uniform canopies. Yield potential is high, making it a popular choice among collectors and researchers. Our liquid cultures arrive in high-quality 10 ml laboratory-grade Luer-Lok syringes. Each order includes a sterile 1-inch, 16-gauge needle for microscopy slide dispensing.
